Abstract

The aim is to analyze water, electricity, and waste management practices by both the hospitality and gastronomy sectors in Pipa (RN/Brazil) in 2021. The research –the result of the ALI/Brasil Mais/SEBRAE Program– used references on natural resources and technical reports. The data was collected from companies when the Innovation Radar was applied. It was concluded that the use of water resources is not sustainable in hotel companies, which aim to increase both profits and customers. In restaurants, they aim to reduce employee working time and bill payments. None of them are concerned about waste disposal.
