Abstract

Background ¶ The assessment of the overall burden of disease can provide valuable information for prioritization of public health interventions. The Burden of Communicable Diseases in Europe (BCoDE) is a project led and funded by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and a European consortium, with the purpose of estimating the impact of 32 communicable diseases in the European Union in order to provide a tool to support decision making. Methods
