Abstract

A new species of Dadoxylon, D. barakarense, is described from Barakar Stage (Lower Permian). The species is distinguished by the presence of wood parenchyma, 1-2 seriate medullary rays, 1-3 seriate, hexagonal and alternate or round and opposite to sub-opposite radial pits and tracheidal pits on tile tangential wall.
