Abstract

The density (ρ), viscosity (η), relative permittivity (ϵ), and ultrasonic velocity (u) in the binary mixture of Dimethylsulfoxide with Pyridine and Nitromethane have been measured at all composition and temperatures 298 K, 308 K, and 318 K. From the experimentally measured values, the excess molar volumes (VE) and the deviation in the viscosities (Δη), relative permittivity (Δϵ), and ultrasonic velocity (δu) have been correlated. The negative and the positive deviations in the excess functions have been discussed in terms of molecular interactions.
