Abstract

This paper develops the theme of aesthetics in Nietzsche's thought through the fundamental ideas presented on his first book The Birth of Tragedy, or Hellenism and pessimism. Focusing mainly on the first part of this work, the study emphasizes the relationship between art and truth on his philosophy, highlighting the connection between ethics and aesthetics, between will and the process of symbolization of artistic forms.
