[...]it has been found that CAVI is effective in enabling students to read signs indicating the location of the items in the grocery stores. [...]another aim of this study is to determine the level of untargeted knowledge acquisition via CAVI (what is cash withdrawal from ATMs, why do we use ATMs, where do we see the ATMs most, what should we pay attention when withdrawing cash from the ATMs, why a password for ATM is required, what is the receipt, what is the cash limit, and so forth) by the students participating in the research. Structural characteristics of CAVI such as the enjoyment of computer use by the users with intellectual disabilities, stimulating effects of computer and replayable images make CAVI an effective method, similar to the discussions in the literature (Mechling, 2005). [...]it is thought that teaching in small steps is another reason for effectivenes of CAVI on teaching cash withdrawal skills from ATMs to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
