Abstract
Drones are unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that can be controlled remotely by a pilot on the ground or flown autonomously by pre-programming a flight path. Drones have numerous applications in a variety of industries and can be used to improve efficiency andproductivity. In agriculture, drones can be used for tasks such as crop monitoring, soil analysis and irrigation management. They can help detect water stress in crops, identify diseases and pets, estimate yield and maturity, and even map out weed populations fortargeted spraying. This can help reduce input costs by minimizing the amount of water, seed and agrochemicals needed, as well as reducing the need for manual labor.
