Abstract
This research objective is to evaluate alternative solutions of Real-time Monitoring and Scheduling for the Make-to-order industry. The prototype integrates sensors with the Internet of Things to track operator assignments, part processes and capture machines' productive time and non-productive time. The captured data updates the production schedule within the Enterprise Resource Planning system. The paper proposes four alternatives design for real-time monitoring. The paper discusses and evaluates each design given price range and technical advantages to fulfill the company's needs.
