Genetic screening: ethical issues

Abstract

This Nuffield Council report on genetic screening examines issues such a consent to being screened, counselling and the storage and use of genetic information for legal purposes. The main report was published in 1993 - a supplement to this report was published in 2006 (see related links below) and concluded that "the ethical principles identified in the 1993 Report remained relevant for guiding current research and practice".
