Abstract
This paper looks into the complexity of transmedia storytelling and fandom productions from an approach that combines semiotics and virtual ethnography. The analysis is based on the Spanish official websites of tve's Águila Roja and hbo's Game of Thrones tv series. The research concludes with a new proposal of roles played by users whilst their interaction with television websites.
