Abstract
Malignant bowel obstruction is a frequent complication in patients with advanced cancer. Based on a case presentation this article will highlight a palliative medicine approach to addressing this distressing complaint. Focusing primarily on the prevailing treatment options of malignant bowel obstruction at the end of life, this article also evaluates decision making process behind the care of malignant bowel obstruction and highlights a patient-centered care.
