Abstract
Diffuse lung diseases in childhood are a heterogeneous group of rare diseases with a significant mortality rate in the affected patients. Interstitial lung diseases are also part of this batch of diseases. The publications on this problem in the Bulgarian medical literature are extremely scarce. The authors of this review briefly summarize the published international expertise and guidelines with an emphasis on standardized classification, diagnostic and therapeutic algorithm, which is a guarantee for better diagnosis, follow up and treatment for these patients.
