Abstract

Introduction: Psychological capital refers to a positive capacity valued by individuals to develop nurses’ performance improvement. The good performance of a nurse is crucial for the quality of patients’ services. Therefore, adequate psychological capital is necessary. Objective: This study aims to identify literature reviews on the influence of an increased self-awareness program on organizational culture toward the improvement of nurses’ psychological capital. Method: This research is a literature review. This research uses the PICO strategy to search for articles in the electronic search database Proquest, PubMed and Google Scholar. Result: The analysis indicates that high psychological capital influences the satisfaction and performance of nurses. Organizational culture and psychological capital also affect the work-engagement. Self-awareness can enhance the confidence of nurses in providing culturally competent care. Group training based on psychological capital has an impact on the improvement of psychological capital. Conclusion: This study concludes the implementation of group training is an effort to enhance psychological capital for nurses by training the self-awareness of organizational culture which can be implemented to improve the quality and competence of human resources in the nursing field.
