Abstract

A number of features of the life-history and behaviour of the Chough endow this characteristic bird of the Welsh, Manx and Irish sea-cliffs with unusual attraction. This study combines personal observations with the collation of existing information on most aspects of its biology, and draws appropriate comparisons with the related Alpine Chough of the mountainous regions of southern Europe. © 1972 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
