Caso “Alyne Pimentel”: Violência de Gênero e Interseccionalidades

Abstract

Resumo: Neste artigo temos por objetivo analisar o Caso Alyne Pimentel v. Brasil, julgado pelo Comitê das Nações Unidas para Eliminação das Discriminações contra as Mulheres (Comitê CEDAW 49ª seção julho/2011), buscando apontar para suas principais contribuições jurídicas na temática da violência de gênero contra as mulheres. Destacamos, em especial, as contribuições da Decisão para o aprofundamento da compreensão jurídica sobre os efeitos da discriminação racial na violência de gênero e na saúde reprodutiva de mulheres negras, pobres e periféricas.Abstract: This article aims to analyze the Case Alyne Pimentel v. Brazil, judged by the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW Committee, 49th section July/2011), by highlight its main legal contributions to the issue of gender violence against women. We particularly emphasize the contributions of the Decision to further developing the legal understanding on the effects of racial discrimination on gender violence and reproductive health of colored poor peripheral women.
