Abstract

This study aims to see (1) the cooperative learning model type STAD based on picture media in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Ende Selatan; (2) The learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Ende Selatan after the STAD type cooperative learning model is used. This research is a type of classroom action (PTK) by Kemmis Mc Taggrat model and uses a qualitative approach. Furthermore, the researchers assessed the data using (1) observation, (2) tests, (3) interviews, (4) documentation techniques. The data analysis was conducted in a descriptive qualitative manner.The results of this study indicate that (1) learning using the image-based STAD cooperative learning model involves students so that students can also play an active role in improving learning outcomes, after carrying out the learning process using the STAD type cooperative learning model based on image media. This can be shown from the final average test by providing an evaluation cycle I 54, 40 and the final test cycle II 77.95
