Shaping the root canal system

Abstract

The speciality of endodontics encompasses numerous elements, but the use of a variety of instruments to shape root canal systems probably challenges the clinical time of practitioners more than any other. The aim of this article is to review some of the historic and contemporary approaches to this challenging practical objective. © 2014 Macmillan Publishers Limited.
