Abstract
This work is a study of the family Combretaceae in southern Brazil. A total of nine species and five genera were recorded: Buchenavia kleinii Exell, Combretum fruticosum (Loefl.) Stuntz, Combretum laxum Jacq., Conocarpus erectus L., Laguncularia racemosa (L.) Gaertn. f., Terminalia argentea Mart., Terminalia australis Cambess., Terminalia glabrescens Mart. and Terminalia triflora (Griseb.) Lillo. Terminalia reitzii Exell and Terminalia uleana Engl. ex Alwan & Stace were considered doubtful species and Conocarpus erectus L. is reported for the first time in Paraná state. Identification keys, descriptions, ilustrations, geographic distribution and comments on the species are presented.
