Iustitia: educar para una ciudadanía responsable

Abstract

Esta ponencia analiza cómo se puede integrar la dimensión Iustitia en las instituciones universitarias jesuitas. Para orientar la búsqueda, el texto se articula en una serie de afirmaciones y aclaraciones; entre otras: el propio concepto de justicia que se utiliza; el perfil del alumno que se pretende formar; la emergencia del sujeto en un neuvo paradigma social; la atención a la educación cívica y política y a la formación para la responsabilidad política; la necesidad de desencadenar mecanismos de imaginación social y de llenar la dimensión “iustitia” de razón cordial; la consideración de la dimensión temporal y de la inevitabla gradualidad en las concreciones políticas.Para finalizar, el autor destaca cinco rasgos que deberían orientar la praxis educativa en un centro universitario jesuita: la perspectiva de la mundialización; el ejercicio de la cooperación internacional; la formación para el liderazgo; la solidaridad bien formada; y la opción preferencial por los pobres.This lecture analyses how the dimension of Iustitia can be integrated into Jesuit universities. To orient the study, the text is organised into a series of statements and clarifications; among others: the very concept of justice itself is used; the profile of the student to be educated; the emergence of the individual into a new social paradigm; the need to put into motion mechanisms of social imagination and to fill the dimension of “iustitia” with a cordial sense of rightness; the consideration of a temporal dimension and of the inevitable gradualness of political upshots. Finally, the author underlines five features that should orient its educational application in a Jesuit university centre: the perspective of globalization, participation in international cooperation, formation of leadership, well– developed solidarity, and preferential consideration for the poor.
