Hidradenitis suppurativa is a painful chronic inflammatory skin disease that has a major impact on patient's quality of life. The average delay before diagnosis remains very long, leading to delays in treatment. A better understanding of the pathophysiology of this disease means that we can now better organize the treatment strategy, but there is still a great deal of progress to be made. A medical-surgical approach must be favored, as must the implementation of sequential therapeutic strategies adapted to the chronic course of this disease.
