Abstract
A bored pile is one type of deep foundation made by casting the concrete in situ according to the design depth. Quality control of concrete integrity in the bored pile is impossible to check visually because it is embedded in the borehole. Therefore, non-destructive test methods with Pile Integrity Test (PIT) and Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL) are commonly used to obtain an overview of the concrete integrity of bored piles. The aim of the study was to determine the integrity of the concrete in the drilled foundation using the PIT and CSL methods by taking samples of 4 bored piles with a diameter of 1000 mm at the Besuk Kobo'an Bridge Replacement Package Project, Lumajang, East Java. Concrete integrity testing with PIT was carried out on 2 test piles, A15 with a depth of 20.70 m and B12 with a depth of 23.60 m. Concrete integrity testing with CSL was carried out on 2 test piles, A1 with a depth of 17.50 m, and B5 with a depth of 22.28 m. The results of the PIT test on the two test piles showed that the concrete integrity of the piles was included in the undamaged category with an impedance value (BTA) of 100%. Similarly, the results of the CSL test on the two test piles indicate that the concrete integrity of the piles is in the Good (G) category with a FAT value between 0 to 10% and an energy reduction of <6 dB. It can be concluded that all samples of drilled foundations tested for PIT and CSL have good concrete integrity. However, there were still some discrepancies in the implementation of the CSL test, including the number of access pipes used, materials of access pipe fittings, and testing time.
