Abstract

The emergence of the COVID-19 outbreak has caused many different reactions from the community, including the increasing number of recitations to pray to reject the corona virus outbreak and an indifferent attitude because they do not believe in the disease so that they still carry out activities in crowded places or consider it a national holiday that is free to travel Where have you been. Many residents do not know about COVID-19 and have not complied with COVID-19 prevention protocols in the form of washing hands with soap and running water, wearing masks, maintaining distance and avoiding crowds by staying at home. This research is a descriptive type of research with a cross-sectional design that aims to assess how adolescents understand how to prevent the spread of covid-19 infection. This research was conducted at STIKes Mitra Husada Karanganyar by providing a questionnaire which was conducted in June-August 2020. The level of knowledge of STIKes Miitra Husada Karanganyar students towards preventing the spread of covid-19 had moderate knowledge, namely 58%. The attitude of STIKes Mitra Husada Karanganyar students towards preventing the spread of covid-19 has moderate knowledge, namely 54%. The actions taken by STIKes Mitra Husada Karanganyar students to prevent the spread of covid-19 have good knowledge, namely 76%. Students to further improve and update their specific knowledge about the prevention and spread of covid-19. Medical officers or teachers are expected to be able to provide knowledge and education about the prevention and spread of covid-19 in the community
