Abstract

In this article, we provide insights on the fundamental question of “(How) Does Africa Matter for International Business Scholarship?” Although Africa has always been “open for business”, there are some emerging opportunities and challenges for business and these are advancing International Business Scholarship in Africa. The paper outlines some contemporary topics for international business research in Africa. In addition, a review of the international businesses challenges in Africa is presented. Also, we shed light on the emerging and growing internationalisation of African businesses to other emerging markets as well as greater emphasis on intra-African expansion as market reforms advance.
