Abstract

Band pass filter (BPF) is one of the key elements of communication Transceiver system. To work on selective frequency band precision is required. This Paper presents Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) band pass filter with two selective frequency bands. This filter is based on SIW structure loaded with symmetrically coupled slot in order to generate the resonance at the desired frequency. The designed filter shows two pass band having resonance at 14.76GHz and 16.78 GHz with amplified return loss of -;27.85 dB -;25.13 dB respectively. In both the cases insertion loss is below -;1.5 dB over the entire tuning range. Further the 3 dB Band width in both the cases is 590 MHz. In addition to the above the double pass band filter is designed in such a way that it can be easily amalgamated with Microwave Millimeter wave planner integrated circuits.
