Abstract
In the present study we carried out a validation of the Unidimensional Scale of Student Burnout (EUBE) in Spanish university students. A psychometric study of its properties, an analysis of its structure (by an exploratory and a confirmatory factor analysis) and on its internal consistency were carried out. The sample consisted of 1146 students from the University of Granada, Spain, aged between 18 and 47 (M=21.25, SD=3.06). Of these, 246 were men and 892 women. A two-dimensional factorial structure of the instrument was verified, after analysing different factorial models. The correlation between both was significant and the rest of the psychometric properties were satisfactory. An excellent internal consistency was also found for the two subscales (Alpha .87 and .81). This developed version of the scale allows an instrument with good psychometric properties for a bifactorial quantitative assessment of burnout in university students.
