A construção de um programa de revitalização na bacia do Rio São Francisco

Abstract

The contruction of a Program for Rehabilitation of river basin San Francisco is underway. A presidential decree of 2001 and the Plans of Water Resources of the river basins of the San Francisco and Velhas, introduced innovative concepts and criteria in the definition of proposals for the hidroambiental recovery of basins. The controversy surrounding the translation of waters of river of San Francisco and the implementation of the law of water in the basin determines the process of the programme. Activities and works focusing on the collection, interception and treatment of sewage are in progress and achieve great extension of the basin.
