Abstract

Art and education are not easy bedfellows given the difficulties of both concepts within contemporary societies. The article looks at the relationship from a perspective of both art and education having lost their traditional legitimacy and narrative. This situation is seen as an opportunity for both fields to both open up to their differences and combine in new ways of reflection and practice. Based on a brief review of some contradictions in collaborative artistic and pedagogical practices, the article aims to establish the link between art, pedagogy and education within the framework of democratic experimentalism. Art and education relationships are not meant to reinforce both terms, but rather help to understand the present lack of evidence for betweenness and critical interdisciplinarity.
