Abstract
Objective: to assess the use of learning strategies by university students in the coastal region of the Republic of Ecuador. Materials and Methods. Quantitative and descriptive research, on 814 university students. A Likert-type questionnaire was applied, SPSS 29.0 was used for the analysis of results, with calculation of the summative index and use of central tendency, dispersion and hypothesis contrast statisticians. Results. The average response was 3.6 “sometimes” and according to the summative index, the strategies are organized into: Planning, Collaboration, Conceptualization, Participation, Exam Preparation and Extension.
