Abstract
Computerized stores and maintenance information systems can be developed in-house or purchased from any number of consultants or firms who have already developed the basic programs desired. The user then has a wide choice of suppliers and technical know how. This panel reported very briefly on their systems, installation problems and decisions required for proper implementation of computerized information systems. The panel and floor discussion brings out to those contemplating installation of these systems the decisions, procedures and in-plant work required to properly install them and to those who have installed them some alternate solutions to problems or changes being considered.
