Abstract

The vibrations associated with the interaction of a benzene molecule with a Ag(110) surface were taken into account using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The vibrations were found to be strongly sensitive to the adsorption properties. Additional peaks in the vibrational spectra of molecules close to kink sites were found.
