Abstract
Three-dimensional oscillations of a liquid droplet are simulated numerically using the level set method. It is shown that the oscillation frequency decreases as the amplitude increases and the frequency shift is overestimated by the theoretical prediction. Parallel computations are performed, and the effects of three preconditioners for the Bi-CGSTAB method on speed up are discussed. © 2009 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
