Abstract

Boongurrus rivulus gen. et sp.n. is described from tropical Queensland. Boongurrus is related to Liodessus Guignot, but is characterised by elongate shape, dense punctation and short apical segment of the paramere. B. rivulus is a predacious water beetle occurring in sand and gravel in headwater streams and springs in open eucalypt woodlands. Copyright © 1994, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
