Abstract

The public spending on defense and national security not only refers to military spending, it also includes the execution of activities and projects that contribute to the protection of national assets and interests, the rule of law, governance, social peace, and human rights. of the population residing in the country.However, currently in Peru, military spending is the main component of the budget allocated for defense and national security, due to some extent to the fact that the National Multisectoral Security and National Defense Policy approved in 2021 has not yet been fully implemented.
