The aim of this study was to analyze Brazilian Triathlon Coaches' Leadership style. 31 coaches from Bahia, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Sergipe and São Paulo participated. Leadership Scale for Sport - LSS, was used for data collection. The data was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. Brazilians Triathlon coaches had a self-perceived leadership style based on Positive feedback (4,68 ± 0,29) and Training and Instruction (4,47± 0,37). Autocratic leadership had the weakest mean (1,80±0,59) and is not associated with others leadership styles. Training and Instruction style was correlated with Social Support (r= 0,636, p<0,001) and Positive Feedback (r= 0,428 p<0,001). Social Support correlated with Positive Feedback (r= 0,464, p<0,001) and Democratic Behaviour (r= 0,399, p<0,001). We concluded that BrazilianTriathlon Coaches use Positive Feedback as strategy, recognizing good performance in training and competition of athletes. They seem to be flexible and use different leadership styles according to the situation required. They also include athletes in decision-making situations and instruct them technically. These coaches seem to have not Autocratic Behaviour. ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR
