Abstract
The utterance intelligibility test should quantitatively evaluate the postoperative articulatory function of the patients with carcinoma of the tongue. The authors propose a new list consisting of only 25 monosyllables for an appropriate use in everyday clinics. The selection of the monosyllables was performed taking account of the following points. © 1985, The Oto-Rhino-Laryngological Society of Japan, Inc. All rights reserved.
