Articulatory examination following the surgical treatments of carcinoma of the tongue —-a proposal of utterance list consisting of 25 monosyllables—

Abstract

The utterance intelligibility test should quantitatively evaluate the postoperative articulatory function of the patients with carcinoma of the tongue. The authors propose a new list consisting of only 25 monosyllables for an appropriate use in everyday clinics.
