Abstract

An evaluation of the EMEP chemical mechanism has revealed that it generates results for ozone, peroxyacetylnitrate (PAN) and hydrogen peroxide which lie well within the central range expected if any of 25 chemical mechanisms had been implemented. This statement also applies to the ozone response to hydrocarbons or NOx controls. © 1993.
