PENGARUH TEH DAUN KELOR (Moringa oleifera L) TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KADAR HEMOGLOBIN PENDERITA ANEMIA

Abstract

Background: Concentration is efforts to focus on developing cognitive,affective, and psychomotor. In developing the whole of its aspects, the brain requires adequate oxygen to be able to perform its functions properly, especially in concentration. Hemoglobin is the oxygen transport to allorgans, including the brain, so that when hemoglobin level lowers, the oxygen bound and transported to the brain decreases. This research aimed to analyze correlation between hemoglobin levels and concentration. Methods: There were 51 male studentsat Faculty of Medicine HKBP Nommensen University included as subjects in this cross sectional research. Hemoglobin levels were measured using Hemoglobinometer and scale of concentration was assessed using cognitive concentration test. Spearman correlation test was used to analyze the correlation between hemoglobin levels and concentration. Result: There was a weak correlation between hemoglobin levels and concentration (p =0,0018 ;r = 0,294). Conclusion: There is a positive correlation between hemoglobin levels and concentration ability of students at Faculty of Medicine HKBP Nommensen University, Medan.
