Communication Apprehension Among Business and Accounting Students in Ireland

This paper explores CA among business and accounting students in Ireland, having first established the statistical validity and reliability of the measurement instruments for use in an Irish context. An analysis of the apprehension scores shows that the level of CA reported by the students in this study is lower than some research indicates elsewhere. Contrary to previous findings, the analysis fails to show any differences in the levels of CA reported by accounting compared to other business students. Gender differences are also explored.
