Abstract

New high-tech yarns and other technologies are enhancing comfort and performance in intimate apparel. Unifi has introduced specialty yarns such as Novva, Mynx, Sorbtek and A.M.Y. Ge-Ray Fabrics are using a blend of Supima and Micromodal, while Dogi International leads in the supply of fabrics for activewear. Berne-Welbeck has a range of two-sided fabrics with cushioned centers, known as Airpak, while successful ranges from Vanity Fair and Jockey International have focused on comfort.
