Abstract
This research aims to explore and deeply understand teachers' perceptions of integrating Artificial Intelligence, based explicitly on chatbots, in higher education. The study seeks to identify and analyze the perceived barriers teachers face when using this technology and their opinions on potential benefits and associated ethical challenges. The research adopts a qualitative, exploratory approach with a field design. The primary outcome of the responses is the duality of opinions regarding the benefits and risks associated with AI in the academic sphere. The conclusion drawn from the responses underscores the urgent need to address the ethical and legal risks associated with the misuse of AI, particularly in academic research.
