Transmission of electrical energy is a high-voltage to low-voltage electrical energy system. CVT is part of the protective equipment of the existing transmission system at the substation which functions as a connector between power plants and distribution such as substations before being distributed to the load, namely consumers. The substation also works to increase or decrease the electric voltage and vice versa. Therefore, the installation of a substation is a vital object in distributing electrical energy to the hands of consumers. There are many components within the scope of the substation for its performance, one of which is a transformer and a capacitive voltage transformer (CVT) which functions as a safety device that can change the electrical voltage from a high voltage to a lower voltage to ensure and ensure that electric power runs according to standards. maintenance, one of which is testing insulation resistance in an effort to increase protection for the equipment, which is a special concern for components at the substation. Capacitive Voltage Transformer (CVT) is one of the core equipment in substations, therefore this study provides knowledge on CVT maintenance to keep the CVT performance protection system itself still suitable for use or not as a whole by conducting 2 tests, testing for grounding and insulation..
