Abstract

This paper describes how volumic images of a composite material could be used to measure 3D displacement elds, and assess mechanical properties. The exemple of a tensile test performed on a sample made of an energetic material is chosen. Di erent tools are used, namely, X-ray microtomography of an in situ experiment, image acquisition and processing, volume correlation to measure 3D displacement elds. The principle of an integrated approach is nally introduced.
