Abstract

The article discusses the legal aspects of college student-athletes' social media usage in America, and it mentions the laws which govern the policy directives and choices that are made by institutions of higher learning and college athletic departments in the U.S. Regulations and violations of the First Amendment to the nation's Constitution are mentioned, along with freedom of speech rights in the U.S. and the goal of successful athletic performance.
