Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present the results of a research aimed to know the perception of the students of the Master of Secondary School Teachers in Spain, about their pedagogical skills, as well as to design a reliable and valid questionnaire for this purpose With an interuniversity character, a pre-test-post-test quantitative study has been carried out in which four Spanish public universities and a total of 212 students have been involved in the first test and 131, in the final one. The questionnaire used, once submitted to statistical treatment is shown as highly valid and reliable. Two factors are established that explain 62,130% of the variance. Similarly, if we compare the self-perception of students in the initial and final moments of the Master, the results obtained allow us to affirm that future teachers perceive an increase in the development of their pedagogical skills that can be described as medium and medium-high. At the same time, there are statistically significant differences between the universities studied, mainly in matters related to knowledge of the educative contents, norms and school organization. When considering other variables such as sex, age, specialty of the Master or motivation towards the teaching profession, the different analyses show that, although there are differences, they are not significant.
