Abstract

This paper analyzes the concepts of tolerance in the final agreement for peace and its importance in the social and cultural dynamics of the Colombian post-conflict. Understanding the importance of tolerance in the post-conflict stage and the construction of a culture of peace, facilitates the change of social dynamics and the reconstruction of the social fabric. It is concluded that tolerance, as the first level of encounter with the other, opens the space for an approach that allows citizen participation and the implementation of the peace agree-ment; however, it is not enough to achieve the recognition of social groups, reconciliation and forgiveness, within the framework of pluralism and multiculturalism.
