Abstract
The article offers information on the genres in scientific and technical rhetoric. It mentions that the genres can be defined in three ways by linguistic features and discourse communities and social interactions or recurrent rhetorical situations. It also discusses the ways by which science accommodates public audiences to primary scientific genres through online media, as well as for interaction between scientific and public communities.
