Abstract

We have obtained the L sub-shell resolved electron impact ionization cross sections for high Z elements in the energy range 15-45 keV. The experimental results are compared with the DWBA and PWBA (Distorted/Plane Wave Born Approximation) based theoretical predictions and MRBEB (Modified Relativistic Binary Encounter Bethe) theory. Good agreement is found between DWBA based results and experiment for L3 sub-shell of all the elements studied.
