Abstract

The needs of the manufacturing industry are increasingly increasing, one of them is by increasing the number of CNC production. However, damage to CNC often occurs due to CNC performance that exceeds the limit. One of the damages is on the CNC supporting bolts where continuous loading occurs. The purpose of this study is to simulate a 5 Axis CNC Milling especially on the bolt section. The simulation is intended to find the shear stress, total deformation and stress equivalent. The simulation uses the finite element method with the help of ANSYS 18.1 software. The results showed that the maximum shear stress was 192.69 MPa and the maximum total deformation was 0.022105 mm.
