Abstract

Since 2001 different measures have been taken by following governments to prevent and solve risks of early weakening and later break down of scholar progression for children and youngsters exposed to social and/or familial difficulties. To be efficient and acceptable, these measures need on the one hand a change in how both parents and professionals view one another but also, on the other hand, the establishment of mutual confidence and respect between themselves. After describing the ins and outs of such issues, a co-educative approach is promoted. Painted as « realistic utopia », it does aim at improving the conditions of cooperation between parents and professionals, hence encouraging children and youngsters to restore with them the meaning and pertinence of a peaceful relation between both familial and academic/scholar educations they are being offered.© érès.
