Abstract
Down syndrome is a condition of retarded physical and mental development in children caused by abnormal development of chromosome 21. Basically, school-age children with Down syndrome experience fine motor delays. Puzzle play therapy can improve fine motor skills because it involves small muscles and coordination between the eyes and the brain. hand. The research method is a Quasi Experiment with a one group pretest and posttest design approach. The measuring tool for fine motor skills uses the KPSP (Developmental Pre Screening Questionnaire). This research was conducted for 5 days with a duration of 30 minutes in one meeting. The sample in this study were 10 children with Down syndrome aged 6-11 years. The sampling technique was in the form of purposive sampling, which was in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria set by the researcher. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the average fine motor level before giving the puzzle puzzle therapy was 6. The average fine motor level after giving the puzzle puzzle therapy was 14.60. The results of statistical tests showed that there was an effect of giving puzzle play therapy on the fine motor development of children with Down syndrome with p = 0.005
